"Hello stranger" said one of the regulars down at the pool this afternoon, followed up quickly with the question "And how are your girls?" I used to see this old fella two or three times a week back when I too was a regular, and occasionally when I was there with my children as well. This was the first time I'd seen him for eighteen months or so and we had a good chat before we both got in and ploughed up and down for the required number of lengths.
