A Dangerous Crossing

Back blipping....

This is a dangerous crossing, but not for the reason you may be thinking.  There's a little bakery shop/cafe at the other side of it and we sometimes nip across there early morning to buy a few mini pastries for our guests' breakfasts.  They do 'specials' of 3 for the price of 2 etc, which of course are difficult to resist!   And who eats the extra ones?  Not our guests!

Bad news this morning when I dropped my iPad mini in the street and smashed the screen.  After much humming and hawing about whether to bite the bullet and buy a new one as an early birthday pressie for me (this is V1 and so must be about 5 years old now and a bit slow, battery doesn't hold like it used to and some apps can't be updated) we decided just to wait till Monday and see if it can be repaired at a reasonable price.  Fingers crossed.  It still works and I've wrapped the screen part in clingfilm so I can still use it carefully.  Philippa thought this was hilarious, calling it a Scottish iPad!!
