Bark

Lazy Sunday, bliss, though miserable rain first thing deprived the dog of her bonus walk around Dinton with doggie friends.
Ventured out in the afternoon by the river Loddon, which is almost flooding. I was struck by the interesting bark on this tree. I have no idea what it is, but it was covered in these tiny "arrow slit" marks, which I thought looked very beautiful.
Off to look after Dad for a few hours; now he is immobile, we can only manage a few hours round at his house to relieve the carer.
