dinner party

it looks like a giant bottle of wine because it IS a giant bottle of wine....a super 2006 Haut-Medoc given to us by French friends. Hauled it out to share with some good pals on Saturday night. Now regretting it.

I'm not good with red. My head hurts.....

But it was a delicious Beef Carbonnade, with potato gratin, fresh veg followed by a chocolate cake & blackberry trifle flavoured with limoncello (Nigella recipe). Oh, & wild garlic pesto dip to start, homemade hummus, smoked salmon etc.

My head still hurts.
