Lady Slipper Pair

We drove up Mount Holyoke this afternoon; the road was open again after considerable work. The sun as out after a very gloomy morning.  A group of over a dozen of these pink beauties were on a slope above the road--mostly fading, but these two still near their peak. Not easy to capture through intervening branches.  A nice celebration of Memorial Day.

The camera's GPS position is now usually picked up by blipfoto's  map--the first use that I've made of it (as far as I know :)
