The obligatory ....

.... once a year, Pulsatilla seedheads Blip.

Lots of photo opportunities as the fine weather continues but the late afternoon sun did light these up rather nicely.  

Garden jobs early and late, too hot around midday.  Good for drying laundry though!  I've started planting up the renovated raised bed - picture to come soon.  A major planting out session in the gathering gloom tonight also included some plants added to the hottest, sunniest bed where Californian penstemon and other dryland plants are now coming to their best.  Note to self: pick up a neck loop for your glasses when you take them in for repairs.  Yes, out in the garden, took 'em off, put 'em down and you'll have guessed the rest :-(
