Up and walking!

just three days after
the surgical procedure --
back home and walking

It's amazing how fast these things are done these days! Less than three days after his hip replacement procedure which took place on Friday afternoon, Julie's dad was visiting his vegetable patch after I had driven him back home from the hospital. With crutches, of course, but very determinedly and without pain. Or at least not more than he had before the operation, which means he'll feel immensely better once the pain of the operation itself has disappeared. I call this a success - and so does he!
