Border Tails

The Gala Water.

This morning I was going to go and join my local library, but I realised when I got up that it was a bank holiday, so I messaged them on social media to ask if they were open.  By twelve o’clock, I hadn’t heard back, presumably because they were all off, so I went up to Gala for a wee wander round the town.  I took this shot of the Gala Water from the bridge in Park Street.

As I past the library, I noticed that the door was open, so after I got home, I phoned the Melrose one and yes, they were open.  I got all my ID together, drove to Melrose and joined up.  I have a Kindle, so I’m not looking for any more reading material, but I’d heard that, through the library, it was possible to download and listen to audiobooks.  This is free, and will give me something to listen to when I am driving the van.  The Archers Omnibus is perfect for my Saturday run, but I’ll be down to the Lake District three days a week.

My pillow - see last night’s blip - and this link - the jury is still out on whether it was value for money
