Schiehallion

For the last twenty odd years I’ve wanted to climb this Munro but afflicted as I was by unenthusiastic family members I never had the ooomph to finally do it. Today was that day, in 26 degrees of glorious May sunshine and a stunning walk upwards and boulderwards. The sense of achievement at the top was rather emotional as felt like I’d conquered much more than the 1083m.
Even the two eleven year olds who joined us and thought they’d rather sit do and die than go any further felt that buzz when they reached the top.
I may be tired but I’ve had the best day
