Little cones of delight

Bridget invited me to the Foodie Festival at Syon House.

What a delight for a Bank Holiday Monday.

The highlight was watching a masterclass by Kerth Gumbs an Anguillian born chef who runs Ormer in Mayfair with Shaun Rankin.

These savoury cones, made by his sous-chef were filled with Asian dressed tuna sashimi with avocado wasabi cream, seaweed crumb and micro coriander. Very yum, and everyone got to try some.

He then made an amazing vitello tonnata, presented beautifully.

We both rather fell for the two muscular chefs who were treating food with such delicacy.

It was also nice just to be socialising at this event rather than working for a change.
