Avocets

After putting some of the bedding plants out in the morning, we took rent-a-dog out to the Wash.  There were plenty of terns and oyster catchers and I spotted these two avocets before reaching the sea wall.  The twitchers were out in force.  I have noticed that the walkers usually great me with a cheery hello when passing but the twitchers rarely do.  Perhaps they notice my relatively small lens and think I am beneath their notice!  An American bomber passed overhead either on the way to the bombing range or returning from an air show.. I thought maybe it was a Flying Fortress but someone will no doubt put me right with the identification.
