Alexandra Palace

After two nights of electrical storms which released over 100,000 lightening strikes we are waking up to a very misty morning. Ally Pally, as it is affectionately known, can only just be seen.
Dreadful nights sleep as the battery has gone in our smoke detector and it has bleeped all night. We have tried to get top off to replace auxiliary battery but beyond us. We will have to call out an emergency electrician- on a bank holiday Monday.
