ROYAL SPOONBILL, Platalea regia
The thing about this pic is the bird is found in the Linwood Canal - with a mate. I think I've been following these two birds for a while - they seem to stick together and are Juveniles. I've never seen a Spoonbill in the Linwood canal feeding before! In the main my experience of their feeding habit is in the estuary proper or the shallows of contrib.s not deep areas like the Canal. Maybe its Harrys influence ??
