Celebratory Dinner

Overnight it stormed with flashes of lightning and booming thunder. It rained over three inches and local roads were closed due to flooding. Two cars of family made their way toward Shelly’s sister and brother in law’s house. It took one family group several hours to find an unblocked way here. Finally we were all together for an afternoon of chatting and cousins hanging out together. At seven we all trooped to a very good Italian restaurant to celebrate Elke’s and one of her cousin’s achievements. We ate and talked and laughed with much reminiscing. Of course none of the memories were mine but I still enjoyed hearing about them. We said our goodbyes as we won’t see many of the folks again until our next visit. Nice day.
