left immediately from buenos aires to bangkok, for what is now the longest continuous journey i have ever taken by plane (excluding lengthy layovers).
buenos aires > houston > los angeles > tokyo > bangkok
plotting this on a map resembles a gigantic horseshoe - not a recommended routing by any means. i believe qatar airways offers a better option through doha, but i am sure there is a perfectly good explanation as to why i didn't choose this alternative :)
i can remember also arriving in the midst of some of the worst flooding in thai history. had to go up to pak chong the first morning after arriving, and what is normally a couple of hours of driving turned into 6+ via backroads.
it was even worse to head from pak chong to pattaya for the next job - on account of navigation, however, so i cannot blame the waters completely for this. pulled into pattaya at 3 am, up for work at 6 am, where i met nearly a week of very long days.
so, now is time for a rest - over to koh chang for some holidays.
even back blipping this is making me exhausted from the memories.
