Creature Day

Today has been very hot and humid, and a day of finding creatures. First a huge lizard ran across the veranda roof, then I rescued a baby rat from the pool, swimming furiously.
Two baby frogs weren't so lucky as they were dead creatures, as was a four foot long snake with a very flat tummy which Mr F found whilst he was mowing out by the road. presumably it had been run over.
As we got the parasols out of the shed we saw this huge spider with an interesting zig-zag pattern, it was almost the size of my thumb.
