Now We Are Six, Again
Woke up after far too little sleep to have a last breakfast together - our traditional Sunday grapefruit and croissants (not forgetting the kefir), with coffee - before Andy and Paul took Pete to Évora to get train for Lisbon airport.
One thing about getting up that early is how much we got done before the Eucharist at midday, including making a roast pepper starter and a chocolate pudding (which was awful, it burnt) to take to lunch with the "Culture Group" at Cecílio's. He had made the typical Alentejano dish, açorda (a sort of bread stew), and it was good.
The others have all now gone to the Roma church; I am having a rare moment of solitude.
