Turkish Lira has constantly loosing value against Dollar. Presidential election was in 2019 but president Erdogan moved it to next month as he predicted the approaching economic crisis.
Why we are financially in bad position? I think too much construction and mega projects risked our economy. The war in Syria and our “great!” relations with the rest of the world including Europe harmed our economy too.
How about democracy? I have no idea.
The huge Tv tower is one of the mega construction projects that I took photo this morning. The government has invested in such projects and let some companies use the state funds. Mr. Erdogan has bigger plan. He wants to build a new Bosphorus (huge canal) between Black sea and Marmara Sea. Lets see the results of the election.
