A Well-earned Drink

I've had another pretty leisurely day, unlike this Blackbird. She's been busy nest building all day. (see extras).
A few weeks ago, I was pruning our bay tree, when I discovered a new, but abandoned nest. I suspect it belonged to this bird, but she had probably abandoned it due to disturbance from the workmen who constructed our veranda. It should have been done in January, but due to the Beast from the East, and some material delivery problems, didn't get done until April. I hope she has better luck this time.
