Today I went to Glasgow with L and a lot of things for her bedsit. This is the view from her desk in front of the window. Her Scottish instincts made her want to find out if the shutters worked, so I removed a roller blind to discover that, unfortunately, they wouldn't unfold properly. So the blind went back.

Afterwards we went for lunch at the nearest place, which L assured me was a "hipster café". There I had the rather unexpected experience of a young waiter asking me if I was wearing a "Stone Roses" teeshirt - which I was - and then entering into a conversation about last summer's concert - which he also attended - and what the lemon referred to - which I knew.
