Our Boys

Our friend Lewis is currently in his first ever West End play. Called 'Our Boys' it is the story of six soldiers in a military hospital, you can read about it here and here..

We met his mum Nicola Mary and a load of other family and friends beforehand for dinner. The restaurant being round the corner from the theatre is a regular haunt of the cast so they threw in a couple of bottles of Champagne which was lovely!

I thought it was fantastic, I laughed so much I cried and Lewis was excellent, playing a character called Ian, recovering from a head injury it was very powerful stuff, especially as Lewis and Ian were very close (Ian went out with Lewis's Mum Nicola Mary for a few years).

I know Nicola Mary is amazingly proud of him and so she should be. Here she is with H, her youngest son Callum (Happy Birthday!) and some friends, under Lewis's picture on the billboard outside the theatre.

After the performance finished we dragged him away from the adoring fans and went for a few drinks with the cast. Excellent!
