~Sharing Nature's Tasks~

Usually one or the other will dominate a flower, but this two little laborers are sharing a common domain. What I thought was a butterfly turned out to be a moth, a Mallow Scrub-Hairstreak Moth (Strymon istapa) and this Honey Bee are co-working a Dalea flower together. I mentioned a week or so ago that this desert bush draws hordes of insects when it blooms, it was so thick with pollen and nectar lovers that they had to share, something they are not naturally comfortable doing.
