A touch of color

I liked the background color as much as the bird and his bright wings in this shot.  

I got a late start today, and the light was pretty harsh shortly after starting to shoot.  But I got lucky and captured a couple of birds before it was too late.

Then there was the trouble deciding between the mature eagle (extras) and this red-winged blackbird male.  The color tipped the scales in the little birds direction and the vertical branch blocking some of the eagle's beak kind of bugged me (though, I love the eye).  Anyway, color wins today. :)
