Stuffed

Saturday’s highlight was a trip into Edinburgh for lunch - the usual group which meets every couple of months. This time it was a £12 all-you-can-eat buffet in a South Indian place - Shri Bheema's.

Guess what? I ate too much.

To be fair to myself (I’m good at that) it was my first taste of  methu vadai, sambar idli, chettinad aubergine curry and kadai chicken. All delicious, by the way.

Well, I’ll recover.

After lunch the others headed off to a dark, dingy pub. I came home in the bright sunshine, being less excited by pub life than I used to be (and quite fond of warm sunshine).

Blip... I had a few possibilities to choose from and went for the building which used to be headquarters of The Royal Bank of Scotland. It’s just another branch now. What a mess that organisation is in, and no signs of improvement. One of my grandfathers and one of my uncles were branch managers in the bank (not that branch). They must be turning in their graves.
