We didn't venture out to see fireworks instead stayed in with the kitties watching movies in the warm with me saying every half hour or so 'it's OK Tess' and giving her little reassuring strokes (Millie sound asleep - one small joy of being a deaf cat I suppose)
First try of a coal fire - it worked well.
