Charmouth

We were out with our local walking group today in Dorset.  The weather was much better than predicted and it ended up a glorious day.  We started and ended in Charmouth and this blip shows Charmouth at the end of our walk.  We started in more cloudy hazy conditions see extra and headed towards Golden Cap the furthest hill in the photo.  A hilly walk but with most of the effort before lunch.  We passed several meadows full of wild flowers including several orchids, see extra and also the medieval hamlet of Stanton St Gabriel with ruins of a 13th century chapel.  The sun came out and we continued to the top of Golden Cap the highest peak on the south coast, where we had lunch.  Then it was back down to Charmouth for tea and cakes.  A great days walking.

We returned home to find that last nights drama concerning our daughters videographer who they thought had taken their money and gone bust had in fact only closed part of another business.  They just have to sort out their honeymoon hotel which they were informed has legionella and is currently closed.   The wedding is in 7 days time, fingers crossed all gets sorted soon.
