The monster on my snapdragon

Not the best of pictures, but I’m going to record my bravery, which some would call stupidity!, this morning. I was trying to find something to photograph in the garden when I spotted this..... BEAST! I’m sure royk13 would know what species it is. There are a lot of them here, but this is the first I saw this year. It was feasting in my snapdragon... yes in. The other pictures didn’t come out all right, I’m afraid, but it literally buried itself into the flowers. I think the photos were a bit blurred because of my hands trembling like mad when I approached it! After all, it is definitely not as friendly as a cricket! I wouldn’t like to be stung by it!

The day isn’t finished yet... another three hours and then I will be able to go home and relax...
