Abstract Thursday: Texture

I do like the texture on this rotting wood.

However I don't like the fact that it's on the inner surface of one of the wooden sides of our raised vegetable beds. They were constructed for us almost 10 years ago, but we'd hoped that they'd last longer than this - the rot extends most of the way through the thickness of the wood. Presumably the wood wasn't very well treated, but we've also been told that the beds should have been lined with plastic sheeting to help protect the wood from moisture. So much for the "expert" who did the work!   :-))
