take three...

...for the sea.
Watching cooking shows is  bit of a tradition for an hour or so while dinner is on the go.
A current fave is Bondi Harvest a young dude who cooks in 'his backyard' Bondi beach, and not only are the dishes simple (ish!) and delicious he has guests not only of the cooking variety.

Take 3 for the Sea is all about plastic and the plastic that ends up in oceans.
Scary thought...by 2050 there will be more plastic, by weight, in the oceans than fish.
And those plastic particles will not only be visible but increasingly tiny, so tiny that the fishy food chain will take in on board.
And so will we, in that gorgeous Bouillabaisse or perhaps local fish and chips to say nothing of the birds and sea life wrapped, choked and strangled along the way.

One thing the co-founder of Take 3 pointed out is that regardless of where plastic is found be it on a mountain side,  riverbank, beach or flapping around in a car park it will ultimately end up in the sea.
Eeeek.
I had not thought of that!....so the idea is that pick up and dispose of 'three for the sea'

So today on the afternoon walk these are three bits of plastic (there was a tad more sadly) that hopefully will not end up in the sea.
