No 8 Wire

A couple of days back the waxeyes finally arrived looking for the apples and sugared water. .... I was very happy to oblige.  Now we have dozens fluttering around.
Doug very kindly went to the man-shed and made some wire thingies from the iconic kiwi No 8 wire and tied them to the dwarf cabbage tree out our lounge window.

This (and others in Flickr) were taken just as the sun rose hence the saturated tones. Taken through our double glazed window with the trusty Sony. Quite pleased with the result.

No walking today - a visit from our neighbour took care of the morning and I really don't know what happened to the afternoon !!!!!
