Quintessentially English countryside

It has been a lovely day today so l headed out to get some sketching done before the less good weather tomorrow.  As it turned out it was actually rather too sunny and bright to get much definition but l really liked this view over the gate.  It's all rather green now that the Rape fields are fading (mixed blessing!) but the hedgerow froth is wonderful with all the hawthorn and cow parsley.
