....painted in 2016 by Puerto Rican artist Alexis Diaz “as part of a local initiative to bring attention to the redevelopment of the downtown Fayetteville area. It features an owl under a crescent moon, clinging to a branch, with the all seeing eye inside a circle in the center of it’s body. Hanging off the circle are three feathers.”
Today is the last full day of school for the girls, so while they were gone my sister & I went exploring in downtown Fayetteville. Stopped in some shops, including one called “The Cupcake Shop”; went inside thinking I’d get each of the girls a cupcake....they didn’t have any cupcakes!! They hadn’t run out—they can’t bake any yet! Seems that in a few weeks or so the ovens will be delivered, but until then the cupcake shop only has candy....not cupcakes! Went to lunch, & now going to pick up the girls! Pool time if the rain holds off! :))
