Two Toads!

Another morning spent digging the long bed - and it was so sunny and hot! I disturbed two toads who had been under the cardboard keeping cool in the nice moist conditions under there. One disappeared under the carpet on the path and the other I put amongst the strawberries to eat the slugs who would otherwise eat my strawberries! In the balmy eve I went back to water and dig some more, watching the sun go down and catching it on the Iris before they went into shade.
