Evening in the Rape fields

A bright day

I dropped my wife off at 6.45 am so that she could catch the coach for the start of the Gardens Tour which takes in four Gardens plus the Chelsea Flower Show. The coach will stop in Edinburgh to pick up my daughter and her two friends and then on to Harrogate for their first evening.

Back home I had a quieter day while looking after one of my granddaughters who is on study leave, although she has finished her exams.

In the evening we had a meal at church and on the way home I caught this rape field in the last of the setting sun. I don’t like the name and not too excited about the colour but there are plenty fields like them around and they do provide an income for the farmers.
