Rhubarb and Thank Yous

What an unexpectedly eventful day. Firstly a huge thank you to our wonderful vet Helen. Late afternoon we suspected Maddie had got some slug bait - I'd put some in a tiny pot inside a large 3 foot high plastic barrel to protect a small rhubarb plant.  The tiny pot was broken on the ground and blue pellets scattered.  M quick off the mark rushed her and Jess too, to be on the safe side, over to the vets who made them throw up. Jess was clear but not so Maddie. Much charcoal has been given and she now seems fine.
