Scotts Beach

Another interesting day when we managed to avoid most of the (only light) rain showers.  There has been recent serious damage on the Heaphy track north of Scotts Beach, where it rounds a headland, and work is in progress to repair the track.  However, we met three hardy mountain bikers who had made it through along the coast at low tide. 

 We are enjoying a major plus associated with the current weather: there is hardly anyone else here!  May is obviously not a big tourist month, but I didn't expect us to be  the only people walking most of the tracks.
