Scipione
High pressure builds from tomorrow and promises to bring 10 days of more stable weather. The system coming out of Saharan Africa has been named ‘Scipione’ ( shippy -O-nee) after the Roman general of some repute.
Before that we are due another day of rain. A neighbour, an Alpine Guide, was telling us that the St Bernard Pass was opened recently. The snow guys had to cut through 7 metres of freshly fallen snow.
