Moray Coastal Trail
First thing this morning, Kevin from bikespokes arrived with two mountain bikes for us to hire for the next couple of days. Before we made use of them, however, we drove over to Lossiemouth to gratefully use Roo and Caroline's internet and to enjoy their hospitality, to upload my 1.5 thousand photos from the orienteering weekend. After the task was done, we lunched at Harbour Lights in the town where I enjoyed my first taste of the famous Cullen Skink.
From there we took the coastal road back through Burghead and donned our cycling gear. The aim of our ride was to return to Burghead via the stunning forested sand dunes of Roseisle, on part of the Moray Coast Trail (bear it in mind for a future adventure Helen!) It was all off road and on a mix of pebbles, sand and forest tracks with more beautiful yellow gorse lighting up the otherwise overcast day (sunshine promised tomorrow!)
My blip is of Tony on the stretch alongside the sea just before we turned off in to the forest on the outward journey. Great fun!
