Cabo de Sao Vicente

Beautiful day..... temperature in the mid 20's and sunny ....... the hotel does a buffet breakfast with a great variety, both hot and cold, and then we left by coach to travel to Luz, from where we walked six miles along the coast to Cabanas Velhas...... a  beautiful walk along the cliffs with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.  The distance is enough in the hot weather for us northerners, and we enjoyed it very much but were grateful for a café with cold drinks at the end.

After a short break for drinks the coach took us to the lighthouse at Cabo de Sao Vicente, which is reputed to be the most westerly point of mainland Europe.  

Had a nice relaxing evening after dinner in the hotel, with lots of chat.
