Some cinemas are tiny!
It's the Fastnet Film Festival time again - an incredibly ambitious festival in which the small village of Schull and all buildings within it are turned into cinemas each with their own suitable name! Here's the Curzon, normally a cafe cum bar. There are short film programmes (43 different programmes!) running all day and night in the pubs and cafés and you can just pop in and out as you feel like it, enjoying a cuppa or a drink or a meal as you watch. The village hall is turned into a proper cinema and is hosting some excellent films and talks. The great and the good and the arty will be mingling. Lord Puttnam will be in evidence as will Greg Wise, former head of the BBC. You can even catch a ferry and enjoy an hour's worth of short films on Long Island - hosted in someone's bedroom with free popcorn and lager! We last went in 2013, time to go again I suspect.
And - the sun has been shining - all day!
