I Am Not A Number

Being Victoria Day, the monsters were off school.

Being that Bags place is having new stair rails etc fitted and there being decorating going on, we had to take them out for the day.

So we went over at breakfast time and after getting things organised we headed off to deepest, darkest Perthshire to visit a Bluebell wood - it really is wall to wall bluebells (with other stuff thrown in).

There were beetles to study - huge beech trees to pose in front of (Squirrel does a good line posing!) and the bit they liked best …….a rope swing! It was such a long rope that it took no effort to get some real height as it went over the path - this was her on the way back down …. The Cygnet could get nearly twice that height!

On the way back to the car we were stopped by a couple of girls with recording equipment and interviewed  -  they were getting stuff for  Radio Scotland's "Out For The Weekend" show. The kids thought this was great (although Squirrel can't get her head round the fact that she can't see it on the TV.... only hear it on the radio  ----  kids and technology!!!

We went for a super lunch at Stewart Tower Dairy near Blackford (worth hunting down if you are on the A9). The monsters polished off everything including the home made ice-cream (which SWMBO declared to be the best she has had in this country ….. she had the mango & passionfruit).

It was then back on the road to stop off our lifelong (hers - not ours) friend and her family in Strathmiglo. All the kids played beautifully together for a couple of hours without bothering the adults which is always a bonus. This sums up their house beautifully.

So, after a super day out - in super weather - it was home to drop the monsters off and then sit down to process the pictures.
I have put up some of them HERE and I can promise you that if you run through them there are more of the bluebell wood with will make the minute or two spent worth it
