The Birthday Girl

When Becky was little, her Grandpa (my dad) used to write short stories for her.  Tommy the Tiger was one of the recurring characters so it is fitting that she is posing here with him on her birthday.  We spent a lovely day together starting with breakfast prepared by Pipersdad.  Then Becky and I left around noon to visit Celestial Seasonings, makers of wonderful tea that is all made here in Boulder, Colorado and shipped all around the world.  It is only about 20 minutes from home but we had never been there.  We took the tour of the factory and sampled lots of yummy tea.  The tiger is one example of the wonderful artwork that is displayed throughout the factory and on all their boxes of tea.  We visited the gift shop and stocked up on our favorite teas and then we stopped for ice cream on the way home. :-)

We all spent the evening together sipping gin and tonics followed by a nice dinner and birthday cake and, of course, tea.  

I am grateful for the happy day I spent with my daughter on her birthday!
