Exam

I finally have my Renaissance exam tomorrow!
By tomorrow I also mean in 10 hours time.

And I am nowhere near tired enough to even try to go to bed. I was tired for a little while but then my partner decided he wanted to mess around singing in the bath so now I'm wide awake from feeling annoyed at him for being inconsiderate.

I get that he's finished University for the year but I haven't yet until this exam so it'd just be nice for him to think about me needing to be well rested. I did exactly that for his exam and he had the chance to see his questions beforehand. If I had that option I'd have memorised the work word for word and wouldn't even have needed to revise anything beyond that, but some of us have had to spend time and effort remembering works and critical analysis' from across the entire module. Not even mentioning how much more effort I always put into my work and now it's probably going to be messed up because of how exhausted I'm going to be.

I feel really confident about section C though. I feel like I've memorised enough of the points I wanted to make for it to be a successful essay. Paragraph 2 keeps making me stumble but I bet I'll have it solid by the exam time. I'll just have to keep practising and reading my notes.

Section B is throwing me off a little bit. I feel like Section A will also be super easy as it's just a close reading essay, a 30 minute one at that, so all I have to do for Section A is state a purpose and how the source shows that purpose. It'll be so easy.

For Section B it'll be a little more difficult as we have to link them to the module readings and critical works. Although I mentioned this being easy for Section C, it's broader in C- as in I can select several works to analyse, where Section B HAS to be the one work.

I narrowed my revision down to portraits for A and B but some of them I really struggled to find points for, so hopefully, they won't show up. I'm almost hoping "The Ambassadors" by Hans Holbein shows up in the sources, or maybe one of the Elizabeth I paintings as I have so much to say for them. The only E1 painting that is tough is the miniature, so hopefully, I can avoid that! The other miniature of the man on the tree is solid too so I guess I'm just wishful thinking for a good exam here.

I'm trying so hard to stay positive about this exam because I'm usually so good at winging History exams but I'm just worried about my averages. I really don't want this to pull me down after a year of doing so well.

Here's hoping for Jean de Dinteville and Georges de Selve (aka the Ambassadors) or Elizabeth I!!!

Good luck to myself.
