The last day of my whirlwind "Hit The North" tour. After breakfast, I caught the train from Manchester to Rainhill (famous for being the site of the Rainhill Trials in 1829 and the first skew railway bridge built in 1830) and walked to the home of my in-laws.
It was good to spend a few hours with D's Mum and Dad, his brother Pete and my nephew and niece Matt and Hannah before I had to catch another 3 trains back to Lockerbie.
Here's D's Mum in their garden :-)
