Leaving Dubai

Our flight in to Dubai, at the beginning of the holiday, was just before dawn and we saw very little from the aircraft's window.  Our second leg found us seated in the centre section so the opportunity to look out the window was unavailable.

I thought the same was likely again as we transited through the airport for the second time.  But this time, as we climbed away from the runway, this view came into sight.  Initially the Burj Khalifa appeared to be floating above a dirty grey sea, but as we climbed higher it's dominance of the city became clearer.  At least I can now say I've seen the tallest building in the world (at least for now).
