Relaying the information

Ron the organ builder is in the shed with Dr Deano (apprentice and gopher) and he tells me this is a relay board. He has done hundreds of solder joints since arriving last night and explained that if one, for example, played bottom "C" , depending which stop was out, this multiplicity of wires relays the instruction to the 16 foot pipe, the 8 foot pipe, the 4 foot pipe etc.
It's a mystery to me.
