Wee Lamb
The veil of grey cloud and drizzle has barely lifted today, so it's been a mooching around the house day today.
During a brief interlude, I headed out to the top paddock to capture a portrait of the last of its residents to be photographed (you've already met Jock and Franklin).
I'd love to say that Wee Lamb is a pet, but (and now's the time for the vegetarians to close their ears) he's heading for the deep freeze at some point early next year. Wee Lamb is a Pitt Island/Suffolk Cross, so we're hoping this will mean a good harvest of tasty meat for us to enjoy through next autumn and winter. No doubt we'll be praying for a good vegetable crop this summer to help bolster the home-grown larder.
Until the day he heads to the big paddock in the sky, we're all enjoying his company.
