Friday Night on the Town
If you've been following this blip and/or LocalFoodLover's, you'd understand why we felt the need to escape the shambles that used to be our cozy home this evening.
We sought solace in the Bayou Oyster Bar. Arriving early, we managed to snag the tiny table tucked into the cozy front corner, away from the noise. It's the other side of the door from the one CelloNerd occupied recently.
We shared a Caesar salad, the Mediterranean flatbread, a plate of oysters Gabrielle, and for dessert, a chocolate torte. The liquid accompaniments were a glass of white for C, a pint of Kulshan Red for you know who, and a Grand Marnier, shared. It was a great meal and we enjoyed watching the bustle just outside the window.
After dinner, we walked across the street to the large grey building to see the Granary Love-In art exhibit. We saw Ann Chaikin's painting, but she wasn't there.
We headed for home at an hour when many young people would just be starting their evening out.
