Through a lens darkly

London Calling

So, it's been a weird night. Cool, but weird.

It started out with me and my chum Miriam going to meet some friends for a meal out in Soho. We ended up gate crashing a launch party for a hair salon when I pretended to be the official photographer (got some free wine).

We then went to a nearby pub, forgoing the screening of a spoof-Bond film that was about to air in Shoreditch, then went to get some super tasty food (had to wait for 40 minutes for a table, but I whiled the time away by taking photos of the bar staff).

From here, we went on to a prohibition-themed bar - it was jam packed and we were told we'd have to wait a long time to get in. I got chatting to the bouncer about photography and pretty soon he said we could go down if we thought there was space! When we went in, we found that 80's music was being played very loudly (didn't make sense to me, I was expecting jazz).

This snap was taken walking back to my friend's flat. The HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge at night. Nice.

(All this adventure is keeping my mind off the funeral on Monday...)
