fleeting visions

Kathleen

We visited my Aunt Kathleen today. Kathleen is 96 going on 97, and still so full of life. Her eyes and ears are failing, and she is too frail to leave the house often, but she has a big family nearby who love her dearly and do everything for her.

Kathleen and I share a birthday. Once I told her that it means we must be the same age. I still remember the delight of her laughter. She is a bright spark, even now enjoying everything she can of life, and delighting in her great-grandchildren.

I want to be like Kathleen when I (if I) get to be in my 90s!
